C4rr13rX Privacy Policy

Effective July 19, 2026.

This Privacy Policy describes how C4rr13rX ("we", "us", "our"; operated by Adam Edsall) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit c4rr13rx.com and any subdomain or service we operate from it. The site publishes source-linked summaries and organizational tools about human trafficking, interactive educational content, browser tools, and games.

Short version: necessary browser storage supports core features. Optional first-party audience measurement and the A-ADS advertising iframe remain off until you consent to their separate categories on the live page.

1. Information we collect

  • Information you provide. Information you send by email, plus access tokens or settings you enter into site features.
  • Information collected automatically. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, response code, referer) processed for delivery, security, and reliability. With analytics consent, first-party measurement can receive page path and title, dwell time, pseudonymous identifiers, referrer, browser and device context, language, and time-zone offset.
  • Information stored on your device. localStorage entries for theme choice, purchase token, consent state, audio settings, course and review progress, game state, and other settings used by features you request.
  • Advertising data. When you view a page that shows advertising, A-ADS and its infrastructure receive ordinary web request and ad-interaction data. The iframe loads only after advertising consent.

2. Third-party advertising

The site currently uses A-ADS, not Google AdSense. Its iframe does not load unless you accept the Third-party advertising category. If loaded, A-ADS can receive IP address, browser headers, referring page, and ad interaction data and may use cookies or similar storage under its terms.

Rejecting or later disabling that category removes the advertising iframe. If another provider is introduced, this policy and the controls will be updated before it is enabled.

C4rr13rX has applied for Google AdSense, but Google ads are not currently loaded. The site's own privacy panel is not a Google-certified CMP. Before Google ads are enabled, a Google-certified, IAB TCF-integrated CMP will be used for ad serving in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland where Google requires it.

3. How we use information

  • Operate, secure, and improve the site.
  • Provide requested learning, access, and progress features.
  • Reply to messages you send by email.
  • Display advertising when you consent.
  • Detect and respond to abuse, fraud, and security threats.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

C4rr13rX does not directly sell a customer list or email list.

4. Who we share information with

  • Amazon Web Services — hosts the site, handles CDN delivery, and stores backups.
  • A-ADS — supplies advertising after consent.
  • Email providers — when you contact us via the form or C4rr13rX@gmail.com, your message is stored in our email account.

We may disclose information when required by law (e.g., in response to a valid subpoena) or when we believe it is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

5. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing. To make a request, email C4rr13rX@gmail.com. You may also complain to your local privacy regulator where applicable.

Use the live page's “Manage privacy choices” control to stop optional measurement or advertising. Withdrawing measurement stops new events but does not retroactively erase aggregate or operational records already received.

6. Retention

Device settings remain until a feature replaces them or you clear site data. Operational records and email are kept only as long as reasonably needed for their purpose, security, dispute handling, or legal requirements.

7. Security

Pages are served over HTTPS and reasonable safeguards are used. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

8. Children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please email C4rr13rX@gmail.com and we will delete it.

9. International transfers

We operate from the United States. If you visit the site from outside the US, your information will be processed in the United States, and providers may process information in the United States or other countries under their own contractual and legal safeguards.

10. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top of this page indicates when the current version took effect. Material changes will be presented on the site when appropriate.
